A Good Reminder About Love

I especially love this passage by Mother Teresa:

“Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired. How does a lamp burn? Through the continuous input of small drops of oil. What are these drops of oils in our lamps? They are the small things of daily life: faithfulness, small words of kindness, a thought for others, our way of being silent, of looking, of speaking, of acting.” – Mother Teresa, No Greater Love

Love is steady; it is found in our hugs, in the food we prepare for others, in random acts of kindness, in our goodnight kisses, in our holding of hands, in our love notes, in our thoughtful intentions. Love is found in the regular activities of our daily life; for love to be genuine, it needn’t be extraordinary 🙂
