Let Us Remember This

Marianne Williamson says:

“In the space of light, darkness disappears. In the space of love, fear disappears.”

This is simple phrase to remember when we are feeling worried or angry, when we are feeling weighed down. When people are able to bring to light something that has sat in darkness for a long time, they express relief. When we process our worry, we begin to feel more grounded. When we process our anger, we can begin to feel the edges soften. When we choose to act graciously we invite light into our hearts. When we focus on kindness, we invite others to do the same.

It is only when we make a conscious effort, do we begin to see that we can create the space of light.  And when we focus on faith, we create the space of love.

  1. A wonderful quote that encapsulates what we see when we slow down and look for example at what is underneath, or what is driving anger – fear! So when we meet anger with tenderness (of course in circumstances where it’s safe to do so) we find it deflates rapidly. And it is not simply disarming with charm, it’s a recognition and reduction of fear that is at play.
