What a thought provoking quote by Paulo Coelho:
Two of the hardest tests in life:
-the patience to wait for the right moment
-the courage to accept whatever you encounter
We live in a world of expectations. Both from others and from ourselves. We also live in a fast-paced, consumer-driven world where we have access to things immediately. Patience may be a virtue, but I don’t seem to have any of it when the internet is slow 🙂 The first test in life that Paulo refers to reminds us that it is okay to slow down. If we are rushing through life, we will completely miss the right moments.
And how do we find courage to accept whatever we may encounter when our fears spark anxiety about the future? Perhaps it is with curiousity, which is the most effective way to counter fear. It is with open-mindedness for what may come along and the knowledge that we have the ability to relish and appreciate joy as well as the capacity to be brave during a storm. Slow down and be curious – we can do that 🙂
