A Thought About Healing

yung peublo has this to say about healing:

“time does not heal all wounds; it just gives them space to sink into the subconscious, where they will continue to impact your emotions and behaviour. what heals is going inward, loving yourself, accepting yourself, listening to your needs, addressing your attachments and emotional history, learning how to let go, and following your intuition.” – yung peublo

Healing is an inward journey. Although we can rely on others to help us with this process, and we can ask time to be our ally in moving forward, healing is something that we must consciously participate in. Being able to integrate the trauma or negative experience, being able to allow ourselves to feel the grief of what was lost, acknowledging that we can also feel joy at the same time as sorrow. Working through the existential work while also honouring ourselves with self-compassion and tenderness – this helps move us to acceptance, to forgiveness, to a sense of being settled.
