- Respect for one’s environment – a tidy room and house.
- Respect for one’s mind – the process of education either formally or informally.
- Respect for family and community – connecting and contributing to society.
What a lovely way to consider a balanced life. The word boundaries emphasizes that we can be steadfast in our goals to live true to our values. The words life enhancing reminds us that when we take care of ourselves, we open up a healthier space to take care of our family and community. The word respect puts our goals in high esteem.
The life enhancing boundaries that she lists are simple and yet so effective when you consider the overall value in taking time for each one – and how good we feel when we are taking care of our body, mind, home and loved ones.
Shefali Tsabary’s list of life enhancing boundaries is definitely ‘fridge-worthy!’
